Finishing up Nosework #1

Iris is not patient about waiting her turn to search!

Iris and I finished up our first nosework class last week. We trained with Venita Bentley, CNWI using the K9 Nosework method, where dogs search for food in different locations for the first 12 weeks. I’ve been told that Bull Terriers will be the star of their nosework classes, and I can’t really say that was true, as all the dogs in our class seemed to have a lot of aptitude. I think Iris and the big brindle dog Fesnick were tied for most enthusiastic searcher. Venita wants to conduct the next round of classes in a greater variety of locations, including outdoors and inside stores, so they won’t start up again until the weather warms up. Looking forward to it!
