Bull Terrier Club of St Louis Shows
Amy and I headed out this morning for St Louis, traveling through Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and finally Missouri. We arrived at our hotel about 2:15 local time, then moved on to the show site.
Amy showed well, but ran into some tough competition, going 2nd in her class to the dog who eventually was Winners Bitch and Best Opposite Sex in the white variety.
This was the first time I’ve travelled with her as the only dog with me. We ended up with a small suijte and she’s enjoyed climbing on all the furniture, including the benches and tables. Then, she put herself to bed. It’s been a long day for us both!
On Saturday, the dog that beat her moved up to the Best of Variety class, which resulted in her winning the the Bred by Exhibitor class, and then going on to be reserve winners bitch.
I have come to realize that when Amy is in a wire crate, it is a good idea to bring a crate cover, as she likes to pull things in through the bars. Fortunately so far she hasn’t eaten anything she’s pulled in, but this needs to be watched!
